Hayden, Esq., is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist serving the Bay Area & Northern California. Mr. Hayden earned his J.D. in 1989 from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, and was a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Judge Robert P. Aguilar & Hon. Judge James Ware in the US District Court in San Jose, California. He served as Deputy Los Angeles County Public Defender for nearly 5 years. In 1997, Mr. Hayden established his own law firm dedicated to criminal defense and earned his place in Super Lawyers in 2004-06,2009, 2014-15, and 2019-24. He is a former Chair of the Criminal Law Advisory Commission and served as recent Chair of the California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Hayden currently also hosts a weekly radio program "Your Legal Rights" on KALW Local Public Radio (91.7FM in San Francisco) providing free legal information and guidance for listeners.
